For my first 4th of July, my mommy and daddy took me on a camping trip! I was sooo excited! My mommy and daddy love to go camping...and I do too!!
A few days before we were to go camping, my daddy thought that he better find us a spot to camp before all of the spots were taken. (the 4th of July is very popular for camping extraordinaries) So, he and my uncle chucky went to set up our tents to reserve me a place to play.
It took about one our to drive up the canyon to our spot. But, when we got there...a police man had blocked off the road that we needed to take. I guess there was a little fire they had to get under control. It took about two hours to make sure it was safe. It was cool to see a police man!

...but when we got there someone had stolen our tents! I know...I can't believe it either!! So, daddy got on his four wheeler to search out a new spot to camp.
Daddy did a really good job at finding a nice place for us to camp. It took him a while because there were so many people camping and it was really high up on the mountain. It was really pretty though, dontcha think??
The weather was PERFECT the first day. It was a nice 75 degrees!
Luckily, our friends Chad and Marie had a tent that we could borrow! Thanks Chad and Marie!!! It would have been too cold for me without a tent!

We were only planning on staying Friday night but I had so much fun that mommy and daddy decided to stay one more night. To stay one more night, daddy had to go back home to get me some clean clothes and more FOOD! I love my food, so does Justin!
While daddy was gone, me and my mommy played in the tent because it was raining! WOW, my first camping trip and rain storm, all in one weekend!
I got to hear thunder for the first time...I wasn't even scared. Not one little bit!
After the rain, I got to see my first two rainbows!! It was really cool. Mommy said it looked like a picture out of National Geographic! What is National Geographic?? 
I am glad that it stopped raining...I really like to be outside.
I even took a little nap while daddy was holding me.

I also got to ride on a really cool four wheeler. I think we should do that more often! It was a blast!!

Sunday, we packed up our stuff ( minus our stolen tent) and drove on that bumpy road again! About a mile down the bumps, a jeep had lost its wheel. We had to wait a little while so daddy let me drive for a minute...well pretend drive. He says I am too little to drive for reals...I don't know about that. I am a big boy ya know!
This is my mommy's favorite picture. She thinks I look mischievous and cute!So, my first camping trip was a success. I had so much fun. Mommy and daddy did too. I hope we get to go camping again soon. Mommy says we need to get a new tent first.

Wow, sounds like an eventful trip. Thanks for inviting us, I'm just not nearly as brave as you are. I think next year I'll start camping with her, but she's too big a pain in the butt to camp with right now. That sucks about your tent, those suckers are expensive!

I love the blog post! that's horrible that your tent was stolen, people these days! I'm glad Ryu was a good boy camping. We took gavin for the first time and he was a good boy too! When can we get together again!? (when gavin isn't sick!)
Suze, you got some awesome pics! I love that one of Ry driving too. Way too cute! Thanks so much for sharing him with me. I love that little boy like he was mine. No worries, he's slowly getting used to me and Keizya Baby. He loves us, he just doesn't know how to show us quite yet. Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun, it's always scary to take little ones, you never know how they are going to do and it sounds like he did great!! Hope you guys are doing great!
