Moving right along...

So...today was my last mid-term! Whahoo, half a semester down! I am really looking forward to Spring Break! I can't wait to spend some time at home to catch up with the little one and make an attempt at house duties! Oh, and the great weather that comes with the season! I am currently done with winter!

Ryu, Chris and I have a date this Saturday. It is suppose to be warmer weather so we are going for Ryu's first stroller ride! I think he will really enjoy riding around. He loves to keep moving and to see new things. It is so fun to spend a whole day with him and watch him change right before my eyes.

Life is much different as a mom. I have learned much about myself. I have also gained a new respect and appreciation for my parents. What a job! Being a mom has been the most rewarding experience thus far. Yet, it is so difficult to change and expect change on a regular basis. I am a creature of habit so... making adjustments can be difficult at times. Honestly, I had dreaded the day I had to worry and care about someone other than myself and Chris. I was so afraid of making the "mommy" steps and loosing myself in the rhythm of this routine. Funny...what we become when a situation is set before us. I am amazed at the way our bodies and souls conform to what is necessary and how everything seems to find a place in the chaos.

Ryu has developed a new trick. He has gained some control over his hands so...he likes to help me feed him. Sometimes, he makes it a little difficult since he tugs and pulls at his bottle and then gets mad if he is not getting anything to eat RIGHT NOW!!

Yeah so, Chris calls this FUN! This is a paint ball wound that he is proud of and really enjoys getting these battle bruises! Nice one babe! This is the best one so far!!

Welcome back to reality Jare!!

Jared just got back from his Mexican cruise! I hope your tan is good Jare!! We missed ya!

suzy,
Yeah I found your blog! Your little boy is so cute! I am so glad I got to see him at Nikki's shower! You look great and I don't know how you do school in the mix of the whole mom thing! I guess it takes a super mom that's for sure! I am so happy for you and Chris!
Keep in touch.
love,

Congrats Suzy! Being a "Mom" is the best thing. It does come with daily challenges, but it also has many perks. I agree with you that you do find a new form of respect for your parents and that will grow as Ryu gets bigger. There has been many times I will ask my mom, "Did I act that way?" She just smiles and says, "yes." Just enjoy it and take it a day at a time!

Congrats! I understand your fear of being a mom. We doubled our family over night and one could talk back. You do get the hang of it though. I totally respect my mom for what she had to do with 5 of us, YIKES! I respect my husband more too after this week. I didn't realize how much he helped out until he couldn't do anything.
