Five months old?!

Yesterday, while I was sitting with Nikki and my little Keizya baby, I noticed that Ry no longer has the "cry" of a little baby. He no longer has the tiny breathing patterns of an infant, nor the small grunts and groans that use to escape his little lips. It is unbelievable how time seems to melt away faster than I can breath. Ry has gotten so big and is learning new skills every day. Somehow, my little Ryu is FIVE months old! How did we get here so fast Ry?

How did you grow so fast?
You were so small...a perfect 7 pounds.
Daddy could hold you with only one hand.

But now, you can sit by yourself...just for a minute. You can play with your toys and have so much fun!

You enjoy you thumb as much as you do your bottle.

And...you always have a new funny face to make mommy and daddy laugh!

I can't tell you how much I love my little family. I am so thankful for this chance to be a mommy and a wife. These last five months have been "life changing." The world looks so much different now...in ways that I never knew existed. Thank you Chris and Ry! I love you so much!!

Grandma and Grandpa!

Do you think Ry could be any more spoiled by these two? He has so much fun with his grandmas and grandpas. He is one lucky dude!

I have a good feeling that Ry will learn a lot from grandpa. You know...fishing, hunting , guns, and all the other boy stuff. Although, I might have to take over the fishing lessons! That's my territory!
Nicole and Gavin

Ryu and I were so lucky today! Nicole and Gavin came to visit us. Man... am I glad that I had Nicole to guide me through the transition phase to MOMMY! Nicole supplied me with a lot of advice and "goods" that helped me make the change. I don't know what I would have done without you Cole! Thank you so much for everything you have done for us! We love you!!

Hey, look at that...Ryu is about the same size as Gavin. Can you believe they are a whole year apart? Wow! What is Ry going to look like in a year? Ha Ha!!

Enjoying the moment

This is Ry with our good friend Tammie. We went to lunch at Zupas...a first for Ry and I. It was really good! Tammie and I are always up for some good grub! We both tend to gravitate towards food!!

Tammie and I worked together for five years. I am so lucky to know her. She is such an inspiration of life and profession! It was so fun to catch up on our recent adventures and learning curves. We love our Tams!!

TULIPS AND GOLD FISH

So...Nikki and I had this great idea to take the babies for a stroll through the tulip festival at Thanksgiving point. Ha... you should have seen me trying to stuff two large size strollers in the trunk, hoping that the passing cars were not paying any attention to my seemingly handicapped self. After numerous attempts to make the trunk useful, the back seat became nicely decorated with two car seats...carrying our tiny clones of our husbands, and the second stroller... that now seemed even larger that I thought it was. The car was a instantly transformed into a baby mobile, packed to the seams with stroll'n gear...which somewhat resembled a jigsaw puzzle. WOW, and I think I want more?! Needless to say, it became obvious that this trip was not going to be as easy as we planned. Holy crap!!! It was a lot of work to pack up two little ones, strollers, diaper bags, cameras, and all the other necessities for packing around small people!
Eventually, we had everything and everyone packed to go. We planned on leaving around noon but we didn't even get on the road until 2:00! Oh... but the flowers were pretty!
The new stroll'n buddies! There were plenty of things to look at but...Ry seemed to enjoy my hair the most.

The cool fish mastered his short attention span for a few minutes. Little Keizya enjoyed most of the trip looking at her own eyelids! Well, at least her flower kept the sun out of her eyes.
WATER! Ry probably thought it was bath time. His favorite time of the day!
Still sleeping...

Oh, still sleeping. She sure is cute though!

Even though we had some difficulties making the trip, we still enjoyed the beautiful day. It was a fun adventure! Maybe next year will be a little easier. Ha...who am I kidding?! There might be more of the small ones!

FUN IN THE SUN!

This is my cool Ry man! He likes his sunglasses. I am positive he got that from Chris. It is rare to see Chris without sunglasses!

Bath time! I can't help it! I love bath time pictures. This is when Ry gets a little wacky!

Catching some Zzzzz!
My favorite new trick! Ry found the pigs!

He spends a majority of his time in this position now!
Yeah...I get to look at this everyday. How lucky am I?

CONGRATS!!!

To my gals that will soon know of a smile that will melt your heart, a tiny grip that makes you whole, and a joy that just can't be explained. This is what life is about! Sorry, I know that this sounds kind of cheesy but, becoming a mommy has been the most fulfilling, rewarding, and loved moments of my life. I tend to get a little passionate on the subject! I am So excited for you!
Love ya!

Hubby Tag!!

What is his name: Christopher Ivan Whiteman

How long have you been married: 5 years

How old is he? 26

Who eats more? Chris for sure. He is a skinny, little thing but he can definitely pack the chow!

Who said I love you first? Chris. It took me a few months to catch up with him. It's not that I didn't love him, I just wasn't sure I wanted to take that step. Yes...I was chicken!

Who is taller? Chris. Come on....I am a Huff, of course Chris is taller.

Who sings better? Chris, hands down!! A quality I will never own. Chris has an amazing voice, he is just a little shy about it. I know, Chris shy?

Who is smarter? Ha...we both have shinning moments. I do have to work a little harder to store things in my brain though!

Whose temper is worse? It takes a lot for Chris to get fired up. I am just now acknowledging the fact that I do have a little temper. My fury is mostly held inside until I can't stand it anymore! Sound like a disaster waiting to happen?

Who does the laundry? Ha ha ha!!! Who do you think?

Who does the dishes? Ha, lets just say that Chris isn't much for housework AND I am a little OCD about the house being tidy. It's my vice!

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? That's my domain!

Who cooks dinner? I would say it is pretty even Steven. We both cook a lot. We don't like to eat out much, unless...it is sushi!

Who drives? ME! Chris is too scary! Well, Chris does drive in the snow.

Who is more stubborn? We both think we are right and battle for the glory a bit!

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Me, when I let my guard down!

Whose parents do you see the most? My mom and dad watch Ry a lot while I am in school so, we see them almost daily! Chris's parents are our movie and dinner buddies though!

Who has more friends? We have a lot of the same friends so, I would say it is pretty even!

Who has more siblings? We both are the middle child of three! Does that mean something?

Who wears the pants in the family? Hmm...it depends on the subject but, I would probably say that Chris does and he would probably say that I do! Is that considered sharing ?

Tag to anyone who reads this!! Ha Ha!!

Pride

Once again, I have fallen behind in my Blogging! Excuses?? No, just the usual business of life! Starting Wednesday, I get two weeks off school. Yeah, lots of time to spend with Ry and Chris! Wahoo!! I am so excited! I can't wait to catch up with my little guy! Hopefully, I will get some Blogging done also! Spring break...here we come!!

Ryu only has a few features that I can claim...one being his smile!

Ry's messy face!

A little extra something for daddy's hair!

Me and my Keizya baby!

Keizya update

Keizya is doing really well. She is sleeping better at night. Nikki and Jeff are having tons of fun with her. She is such a sweet thing. We love having her around. Although, when her and Ry are together...it is a bit ridiculous. If Keizya whimpers, Ry gets very upset! Poor Ryu! He just is sensitive that way, I guess! He probably got that form me!
